Madbouli stressed the importance of developing archaeological sites across Egypt and promoting them in world countries in order to beef up the number of tourist arrivals.
Madbouli's remarks came during his meeting Thursday with Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Issa and Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Technical Affairs Youmna el Bahar.
The meeting, meanwhile, reviewed the progress made so far in the Grand Egyptian Museum project ahead of its long-awaited inauguration.
Issa, for his part, referred to the executive status of the institutional development strategy, which is adopted by his ministry.
Such strategy mainly aims to raise the efficiency of the archaeological sites and upgrade the available services, the minister said during the meeting.
The minister further said that integrated training programs are being implemented with the aim of raising the efficiency of the cadres working in the ministry.
