CAIRO - 10 January 2023: Telecom Egypt is working to connect 90 percent of Egyptian hospitals to provide treatment, medical and diagnosis services remotely.
Th connection of radiology, analysis centers, as well as hospitals, aims to provide a unified prescription, and a unified medical history, through a unified data center for hospitals and patients, and a large number of clinics may be linked to achieve the same goal.
The company is working to automate the health system through the Telecom Egypt network, and work is already underway to provide the service and enable customers to use cloud computing, “so that we are ready to launch health apps, as well as education applications, which at the same time is witnessing a remarkable development in holding exams online,” said Engineer Adel Hamed, CEO and Managing Director of Telecom Egypt.
“More than 95% of colleges in Egypt are connected through the company’s network, which enables the provision of services and applications for them in the future,” Hamed said.
Hamed explained that the communications and information technology industry is constantly evolving, as it moved from the traditional industry in providing voice and data services, to the tertiary industry in providing voice, data and television services via the Internet.
He added that the technology has been upgraded to provide new services, including financial services, mobile payments, and health services.
Hamed referred to Telecom Egypt's recent campaign, which has spread during the last period, through the Telecom Egypt platform, which is being developed to become better and easier for customers.
