KYIV, Jan 8 (MENA) - Russian forces attacked the Kherson region 19 times on January 7 during the so-called "Christmas truce".
Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on the Telegram messaging application carried by Ukrinform Sunday.
The Russian forces reportedly "shelled the territory of the Kherson region 19 times. They fired artillery, MLRS, mortars, tanks and used UAVs", Yanushevych said.
"Due to the attacks ... civilian infrastructure in the settlements of the Kherson and Beryslav districts was damaged," he wrote.
He added that one person had been injured in Russian shelling.
