CAIRO – 28 December 2022: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ordered the state’s funds to send LE 1 billion to the people of determination’s fund, including LE 500 million from the armed forces’ fund.
Suez Canal and martyrs and injured funds will donate LE 100 million each, while the housing fund will allocate LE 200 million for the fund, as per Sisi’s directives on Wednesday.
Sisi made the directives as he participated on Wednesday in the fourth edition of the “Differently-Abled” ceremony aimed at empowering people of determination.
The ceremony was held in Al-Manara International Conference Center in Cairo’s Firsth Settlement under the slogan: “We have a place” and with the participation of high-level officials and guests.
During the ceremony, Sisi announced a number of directives to empower youth, urging relevant state authorities to work on completing efforts of enhancing programs and plans and taking the required measures in this regard.
Sisi assigned the Ministry of Social Solidarity to launch the “comprehensive services” card for people of determination to ensure that they obtain all services and rights.
Sisi said the the ministry will also study directives to allow married women with special needs to get the pension of their late fathers as in the case of other people of determination.
Sisi announced assigning the Ministry of Youth to study directives to bestow memberships of youth centers, youth innovative and educational centers, and youth cities on people of determination.
Sisi said the Youth Ministry will study directives to coordinate with sports clubs to allow people of determination to exercise sports.
Sisi ordered securing programs and activities that aim at boosting the fitness level of people of determination and improving their sports skills.
Sisi also ordered the Ministry of Housing to take into consideration the special needs of people of determination and setting a quota for them in housing projects in news cities.
Sisi ordered the Ministry of Health to provide comprehensive health services to people of determination in all governorates.
Sisi directed the Ministry of Transport to take into consideration the special social needs for people of determination.
The ministries of education, higher education, sports, and social solidarity will also coordinate to launch the ‘differently-abled companions’ initiative in schools, universities, youth centers, clubs, care homes, and other entities, Sisi said.
Sisi ordered assigning the manpower ministry to coordinate to formulate programs that aim to train and employ youth of determination.
“People of determination inspires us with positive energy, strong determination, and the spirit of challenge,” the president said.
He added that people of determination represent one of the most important mechanisms for building this nation.
Sisi also congratulated Egyptian people, including people of determination, on the New Year.
“The critical events that the world has witnessed over the recent period have resulted in consecutive economic crises and huge challenges that made us undoubtedly realize that clinging to the homeland, resorting to its historic resources, and divine blessings is the only way not only to overcome these crises and face challenges, but also to achieve the dream of building the Egyptian state as aspired,” Sisi stated.
