CAIRO - 1 December 2022: Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, received Dr. Tariq Rahmi, Governor of Gharbia, to discuss and follow up the completion rates of the health projects being implemented, and to identify any challenges that may face the workflow in all units, health centers and hospitals in the governorate.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the minister reviewed the map of the health projects being implemented, developed and raised, which amount to 9 projects.
The projects include hospitals at a cost of EGP 2.6 billion, in addition to a project to develop the Blood Bank and Plasma Collection Center in Tanta.
He added that the minister reviewed the engineering drawings for the new constructions and raising the efficiency of the buildings. He further directed the need to equip these facilities with the latest medical and non-medical equipment, in accordance with the quality standards of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, in order to provide quality medical service to patients.
Abdul Ghaffar continued, that the minister directed the speedy completion of health projects in the governorate according to specific time schedules, and according to the priorities and needs of the health system in the governorate, and its geographical locations.
He further explained that the minister was keen to check on the sewage, water and electricity networks, stressing the need to conduct periodic maintenance.
He pointed out that the minister, during his meeting with the governor of Gharbia, reviewed the manpower plan from the medical teams, whether for doctors and nursing staff in all units, centers and hospitals in the governorate.
The minister also stressed that the two sides indicated the importance of preparing periodic reports on the availability of medical staff from all specialties in the medical facilities being implemented in the governorate.
For his part, the Governor of Gharbia thanked Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar for his efforts that contributed to the advancement of the health sector, whether in Gharbia Governorate or at the level of the governorates of the Republic, stressing his full support for all health projects, and harnessing the capabilities of the governorate to overcome obstacles and challenges that may face the progress of development projects. and raise efficiency.
