Rain expected in Egypt's South Sinai, Gulf of Aqaba Wednesday night

CAIRO – 23 November 2022: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects light rain on Wednesday from 3 PM to 11 PM on areas in South Sinai and Gulf of Aqaba.

The EMA cited latest satellite images, which show the formation of thunder clouds over these areas.

From Wednesday to Monday, the EMA expects mild weather in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern coasts and warm weather in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Also, southern Upper Egypt is expected to see hot weather while all areas nationwide will see cool weather at night time.

Average temperatures based on the EMA expectations:

- Cairo and Lower Egypt – Highs: 23 - Lows: 16

- Northern coasts – Highs: 22 – Lows: 15

- South Sinai – Highs: 27 – Lows: 18

- Northern Upper Egypt – Highs: 24 – Lows: 12

- Southern Upper Egypt – Highs: 28 – Lows: 15
