CAIRO - 29 October 2022: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population said that self-examination helps detect up to 25 percent of breast cancer cases.

The ministry added that: “self-examination is performed by the woman herself on a monthly basis.”

The Ministry of Health and Population added that the follow-up and treatment is free of charge, using the latest international protocols, as part of the President's initiative to support women's health.

“The health units across the country are open to apply the examination on a daily basis, except Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm, and the location of the detection unit can be known by visiting the website www.100millionseha.eg or contacting the hotline: 15335," the Ministry of Health continued.

The services of the President’s initiative to support women’s health are provided in health centers and units to follow up and treat chronic diseases, and carry out early detection of renal impairment.
