Famed lawyer Farid al-Deeb dies after a struggle with illness

CAIRO - 25 October 2022: Well-known lawyer Farid El-Deeb passed away Tuesday after suffering from illness.

 

The family of the great lawyer, Farid El-Deeb, did not announce the date of his funeral, according to his wife, stressing that the announcement will be made after the completion of the legal procedures.

 

Farid El-Deeb is considered one of the most famous names in the legal arena in Egypt, and over the past years he has defended many cases that occupied Egyptian public opinion, atop of which, legal cases in which the late President Hosny Mubarak was a convict in. 

 

El-Deeb recently made statements that stirred the public opinion regarding his prospect defending of 

Mohamed Adel, the murderer of Mansoura University student Naira Ashraf.
