CAIRO - 24 October 2022: Egypt has placed education quality among its priorities since 2014 as it embarked on improving education services.
All the steps Egypt has taken towards improving the quality of the education has raise the country’s ranking in global classifications.
According to a report by the Information and Decision Support Center in the Council of Ministers, the classification issued by Report World & News US indicated that Egypt ranked 42nd out of 73 countries in the world this year; the third in the Arab world after Qatar and the UAE in 2020, compared to 51st place in year 2019.
With regard to universities, the number of Egyptian universities listed in international rankings increased, and the number of colleges and programs that obtained an academic accreditation certificate from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education reached 186. The number of schools that obtained accreditation raised from only 6 schools before 2014, to 30 schools in 2018
The Information and Decision Support Center in the Council of Ministers revealed that 110,000 classrooms have been established since 2015, and 13,000 classrooms are being established at a cost of 43 billion pounds. The number of classes created is 21,000 classrooms in 2021-2022, compared to the number of classrooms Created before 2014, 5.6 thousand classes per year.
