Egypt inaugurates 1st marine ambulance launch to serve citizens via sea

CAIRO - 24 October 2022: The Public Authority for Ambulance of the Ministry of Health and Population inaugurated the first marine ambulance launch in Egypt to provide ambulance services to citizens via the sea.

The Egyptian Ambulance Authority added that the sea launch is 14 meters long and has equipment close to the intensive care unit located in hospitals. 

The launch contains devices to treat two cases at the same time, and will be supported by trained ambulance crews.

The marine launch operates under the most extreme conditions, accompanied by ground coverage through the ambulance fleet, and a communication, warning and follow-up system that operates 24 hours a day.
