CAIRO – 19 October 2022: Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underlined on Wednesday the importance of putting into effect President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directives as regards offering land plots and residential units to Egyptians living abroad.
Madbouli gave the remarks during a meeting with Housing Minister Essam el Gazar and deputy chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority Abdel Motleb Amara Mamdouh.
The directives include offering necessary facilities to enable Egyptian expatriates to possess residential units and land plots at home.
The lands will be offered in a number of new cities, including Sixth of October city, Tenth of Ramadan, New Mansoura and Sheikh Zayed
Madbouli also on Wednesday followed up workflow of some water and wastewater projects under construction in the New Valley Governorate, about s 605 km south of Cairo.
During a meeting with Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar, New Valley Governor Mohamed Al Zamalloutm, and Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) Mamdouh Raslan, Madbouli also reviewed the company's replacement and renewal plan for the FY2021-2022.
The plan included an overall replacement and renewal of a pumping station for treated water in Kharga township, a wastewater pumping station for two "Hindaw" and Al Qasr" villages and another wastewater pumping station in Mut city in Al Wahat Al Dakhla Desert.
It also involved a partial replacement of the main wastewater plant and a pumping station for treated water in Mut city, along with replacement and renewal of the sanitation grids in Dakhla township and Kharga city.
Madbouli also followed up the progress made in the wastewater projects pursued in the governorate as part of Phase 1 of the presidential "Decent Life" rural development initiative, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said.
