Egypt condoles with Indonesia over football stadium crush

CAIRO – 2 October 2022: Egypt expressed on Sunday heartfelt condolences to the Indonesian government and people over the victims of football stadium crush.

Egypt reiterated its solidarity with Indonesia over this tragic incident, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid tweeted.

At least 174 people have died in a crush at an Indonesian football match that has become one of the world's worst stadium disasters.

The crush took place after police tear-gassed fans who invaded the pitch.
