JEDDAH - 15 July 2017: Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said Saturday his country would provide the French government with a integrated file on Qatar's support for terrorism.

In a press conference with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian, Jubeir reiterated the need to stop supporting extremism and terrorism or hosting wanted terrorists by Doha.

The Saudi top diplomat said his meeting with Le Drian also dealt with recent developments in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

He voiced hope the crisis with Qatar would be settled by the Gulf countries themselves, calling on the country to meet the international requests to stop financing terrorism and hosting wanted people.

Jubeir said another meeting will be held with Le Drian on other issues of common concern.

For his part, the French top diplomat said his country does not seek to act as a mediator replacing any other side regarding the Qatari crisis, but only a facilitator to resolve the crisis, praising Kuwait's mediation role in this regard.

He said that France praises Saudi Arabia's role in halting terrorism and extremist thought.

Le Drian said that an agreement was reached with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on creating a joint committee between the two countries on ways to boost bilateral cooperation.
