CAIRO – 12 September 2022: Cabinet's Spokesman Nader Saad said on Sunday the UN climate conference, COP27, will aim to outline an international solution for the most dangerous issue that threatens Earth.

In a phone interview with Al Hayah TV channel, Saad stressed that the climate change issue is no longer a luxury.

He pointed to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli's two-day tour in Sharm El-Sheikh, which is set to host the conference in November.

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has stressed Egypt's appreciation of the role played by India in climate change negotiations.

During a phone call with India's Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, Shoukry lauded a decision recently taken by India to enhance its nationally-determined contributions with a view to reducing emissions intensity, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said on Monday.

Shoukry also voiced Egypt's keenness on coordinating with India regarding various climate issues.

The Indian minister, meanwhile, lauded Egypt's presidency of the COP27 conference, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh in November.

He expressed confidence that Egypt will be able to lead the climate action at the global level in the coming period.
