CAIRO – 12 September 2022: President Abdel gave directives to allocate incentives to encourage outstanding students of the Digital Egypt Cubs program, in order to promote human development and build capacities for the talented in the information technology sector, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement on Monday.
Sisi]s orders were given during a meeting with Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat. The meeting followed-up on national projects of the communications and information technology sector.
Dr. Talaat reviewed the educational process at the Egypt University of Informatics, as well as progress in the City of Knowledge in the New Administrative Capital. President El-Sisi gave directives to promptly complete the establishment of the city at the highest technological level and expand the establishment of Egypt Digital Creativity centers to provide training activities and sponsor creativity and entrepreneurship in the various governorates of the Republic.
The Minister of Communications offered an overview of work progress in a number of projects which are currently being implemented in the communications and information technology sector. These projects are implemented as part of efforts to upgrade the infrastructure and informatics. President El-Sisi directed the speedy completion of digital transformation projects, the automation of government services and the delivery of these services to citizens in an easy and sound manner, given the projects’ close and integrated connection to the development process. This includes the expansion of the high-speed terrestrial Internet network by spreading the use of fiber-optic networks, and increasing the number of mobile towers to improve the service in all parts of the Republic.
