President Sisi congratulates Liz Truss over winning British PM post

CAIRO - 5 September 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Monday Liz Truss for her victory in recent elections in Britain, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

In his congratulatory message, president Sisi extended his greetings to Truss on becoming the British prime minister and wished her complete success in her new job, said Radi.

The president said he is looking forward to cooperating with Truss to boost bilateral historical relations serving the interests of the two peoples and in sake of security, stability and peace of the world, added Radi.

President Sisi also thanked former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his tireless efforts to promote Egyptian-British ties, according to the spokesman.
