Egyptian Amb. in Khartoum, Sudanese Electricity Min review efforts for power interconnection

CAIRO - 5 September 2022: Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum Hossam Eissa and Sudanese Minister of Electricity and Energy Mohamed Abdullah met and reviewed underway efforts for electrical interconnection between both countries.

The two sides discussed cooperation proposals for promoting renewable energy projects, especially solar power projects, making use of Egypt's experience in this domain, the Foreign Ministry posted on its official Facebook page on Sunday.

They also probed technical cooperation opportunities, especially by providing training courses for the Sudanese cadres in the energy and oil industries.
