CAIRO – 4 September 2022: A delegation of Egypt's Coordination's Committee of Parties' Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP) met with the newly-appointed Chief of Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) Dr. Mohamed Farid.

 

The meeting discussed the fruitful cooperation between the FRA and the CPYP, according to a statement by the CPYP  on Sunday.

The delegation also discussed a plan to develop the performance of the non-bank financial sector, especially the Egyptian Stock Exchange, to advance it in a manner befitting the new republic.

 

For his part, the FRA Chairman welcomed the cooperation with the CPYP youth to benefit from the expertise of its specialized committees to serve the non-bank financial sector.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued Resolution No. 353 of 2022 assigning  Mohamed Farid Saleh to act as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) for a period of one year, as of August 7, 2022.

 

According to FRA’s statement, Mohamed Farid Saleh has been appointed as the Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange since August 2017, according to Prime Minister Decision No. 1759/2017.

 

Farid is currently the elected President of the Eurasian Federation of Exchanges, a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of African Stock Exchanges, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Arab Capital Markets.
