CAIRO – 2 September 2022: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inaugurated on Thursday “Tahya Misr” complex for government, social, and youth services in Alamein city of the northwestern Matrouh governorate.
The complex offers various governmental, social, and retail services, and houses workshops for the famous traditional handcrafts in Matrouh.
The premier also inaugurated other sustainable development projects in Sidi Abdel Rahman village in the city implemented by the donation-based Tahya Misr fund in partnership with the rea estate company Emaar Misr, according to a statement by the Cabinet.
During the tour, Madbouli asserted that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gives great importance to the services and development projects implemented by Tahya Misr Fund for the benefit of low-income families.
Madbouli said that the Tahya Misr community service complex in Seidi Abdel Rahman represented a perfect example of the government's partnership with civil society and the private sector.
Efforts were concerted among the state agencies, civil society, represented by Tahya Misr Fund, and the private sector, represented by Emaar Misr and other Egyptian companies, to make this project viable, Madbouli said.
Alamein Model Hospital
Madbouli inaugurated a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit and a cardiac catheterization unit in El Alamein Model Hospital, Matrouh Governorate, and inspected its various medical departments to ensure its full readiness to provide medical services for patients.
Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghafar and Head of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply, and Technology Management Dr Bahaa Eldin Zedan as well as a group of health ministry and Matrough governorate officials accompanied the premier during the tour.
The premier was briefed on the new state-of-the-art medical equipment provided to the heart care unit especially the various techniques of cardiac catheterization operations including the coronary catheterization unit and the several cardiology diagnostic tests and procedures taking place at the hospital.
El-Alamein Model Hospital was built on 23,597 square meters and includes 97 beds, along with emergency, intensive care and heart care units and operating rooms, plus a dialysis unit that includes 9 machines, internal beds, a gynecology and obstetrics unit, in addition to a neonatal intensive care unit.
During the tour, the premier extended thanks to doctors and nursing staff and all other employees and praised their professionalism and dedication in offering all necessary medical care to patients, giving directives to provide the hospital with all its needs of medicines and medical supplies.
Civil register office
Justice Minister Omar Marwan asserted that opening a civil register office in Sisi Abdel Rahman village comes within efforts to transform the village into a digital community.
While Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala El-Saeed said that the opening of the new complex comes within the state’s keenness to localize the sustainable development goals nationwide as well as reaching integration among developmental efforts in countryside and cities.
The event was also attended by Health Minister Abdel Ghaffar, Sports and Youth Minister Ashraf Sobhi, Social Solidarity Minister Nivene El Kabbag, Local Development Minister Hisham Amna, Education and Technical Education Minister Reda Hegazy.
Also, Matrouh Governor Khaled Shoeib, Presidential Advisor for Financial Affairs Mohamed Amin Nassr, and other senior officials, businessmen and representatives of NGOs attended the event.
