CAIRO - 30 August 2022: Egypt's law that regulates the practice of civil work in the country set a condition for establishing associations, which is having a written statute consistent with the model specified by executive regulations of the law.
The statute, according to the law, should be signed by all founders of the association, and that the entity considers its headquarters in Egypt as an appropriate place to manage its activity, provided that the regulations specifying the executive has the necessary controls for this.
The establishment of the civil society should be according to a notification submitted to the competent administrative authority, fulfilling all the documents stipulated in the following articles, and it has a legal personality upon notification. Every legal person has the right to join or withdraw from it in accordance with the provisions of the provisions this is the law.
Every notification that did not fulfill all the required data and documents according to the form prepared for this, shall not be considered a notification that has its legal effects.
In all cases, the articles of each association must include a stipulation of its commitment to respect the constitution and laws, and not to prejudice national security, public order and public morals.
A founding member of the association, a member of the board of directors, or a board of trustees, as the case may be, is required to enjoy his civil and political rights, and no final judgment has been issued against him for a felony or freedom-restricting penalty for a misdemeanor prejudicial to honor and honesty, unless he has been rehabilitated, and he is not among those listed on the Lists of terrorists.
