Sisi’s ratification of construction compensation law good step forward

CAIRO - 15 July 2017: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's ratification of the construction compensation bill is a good step forward for the construction sector and millions of its workers, the head of the parliamentary committee for housing and public utilities said.

In a statement on Saturday, Alaa Wali said the president is keen on offering social protection for those working in the domain and giving momentum to urban development.

Wali pledged that compensations will be paid for contracting companies within days.

The compensations are help some contracting companies - which encumbered losses over a rise in material prices - to finalize their projects in line with contracts signed with the government, he expounded.
