CAIRO – 13 August 2022: Mohamed Salah El-Din was announced Saturday as the new Minister of State for Military Production succeeding Mohamed Ahmed Morsi.
The Egyptian Parliament held an emergency session Saturday, where it approved a cabinet reshuffle that includes 13 new ministerial portfolios.
The parliament approved the appointment of Major General Mohamed Mohamed Salah El-Din as Minister of State for Military Production, based on the letter sent to the House of Representatives regarding the new ministerial reshuffle, following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s invitation to the parliament to convene.
Major General Mohamed Salah El-Din was the Vice President and Managing Director of the National Authority for Military Production, which is the body headed by the Minister of Military Production in his capacity, since November 24, 2020.
A decision was issued then by the former Minister of Military Production, Major General Mohamed Morsi, to appoint Mohamed Salah el-Din as Vice President of the Authority, after the death of Engineer Hassan Abdul Majeed, on November 15, 2020.
Salah El-Din worked as an advisor to the Minister of Military Production and Vice President of the National Authority for Military Production.
Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din also worked in several leadership positions in the armed forces, until he worked as an assistant to the head of the Armament Authority of the Armed Forces, before moving to work in the Arab Organization for Industrialization, as of 2019, until August 2020.
Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din then worked as an advisor to the Minister of State for Military Production during the period from August 4, 2020, until November 15, 2020.
