CAIRO - 2 August 2022: US Special Envoy and Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland thanked on Tuesday the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General (SASG), Stephanie Williams, for her efforts in Libya over the past years.
The Libyan news agency quoted the US diplomat as saying that he thanked Williams for her efforts that pave the way for holding elections in Libya.
On Monday, in her farewell statement as the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General, Stephanie Williams said that the only way forward for Libya is through the holding of elections.
