CAIRO - 23 July 2022: The Egyptian Space Agency (EGSA) has congratulated and extrended support to Sara Sabri for being one of six members of a crew set to fly into space onboard the Blue Origin’s NS-22 space mission.

Joining the mission, Sara will be the first Egyptian citizen to fly into the space.

In a statement issued on Saturday, EGSA voiced its support for Sara, a mechanical and biomedical engineer.

Five other people will go aboard Blue Origin's NS-22 Flight from the US, UK and Portugal.

The five persons will fly aboard New Shepard to experience the cognitive shift of the Overview Effect and incorporate that new found perspective into a social impact project with the support of S4H's Citizen Astronaut Program (CAP).

Sara is the founder of Deep Space Initiative (DSI), a nonprofit organization that aims to increase accessibility for space research.
