No need to transform hospitals into isolation centers - Health Ministry spox

CAIRO - 17 July 2022: The Health Ministry had denied on Friday claims saying that some hospitals were transformed into isolation centers, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said on Saturday.

In a phone call with Al Hayah Al Youm program aired at Al Hayah TV station, Abdel Gaffar acknowledged that there is a noticeable hike in the average Covid-19 cases, noting, however, that the rates of cases admitted to hospitals and fatalities are stable.

He added that there is no need at present to transform hospitals into isolation centers.

He added that the international health community had agreed on the importance of vaccination to reduce the Covid-19 symptoms and fatalities.
