US special envoy to Libya meets AU chief

TRIPOLI, July 13 (MENA) - US Special Envoy and Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland discussed with Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki ways of supporting the AU's role in attaining reconciliation in Libya.

On his Twitter account, Norland said that he is delighted to hold a meeting with the chairperson of the AU Commission in Addis Ababa to discuss the AU's crucial role in supporting reconciliation, security and stability in Libya.

The talks also tackled ongoing efforts to appoint a new UN special representative in Libya, he added.
