CAIRO – 27 June 2022: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of high levels of humidity affecting all parts of the country, although the temperatures will remain around normal rates.
EMA said that the rise in humidity levels is affected by India’s seasonal depression, which increases the perceived temperature.
The Meteorological Authority added that the weather is hot during the day on the northern coasts, Lower Egypt and the Canal cities up to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, and very hot on southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai.
Temperatures will range from highs of 33 and 34 degrees Celsius in Greater Cairo.
The Meteorological Authority advised high school students, who are currently taking their exams, to cover their heads, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight, and drink a lot of fluids to cope up with this heat wave.
