CAIRO - 26 June 2022: Egypt's exports of building insulation materials rose by about 38% to a record $18 million in the first four months of 2022 compared to $13 million during the same period last year.

According to the monthly report of the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractory and Metallurgy Industries which was issued on Friday, Egypt's production of the insulation materials is being exported to about 55 countries.

Nearly 57% of Egypt's exports of these materials are exported to five countries; Nigeria, Libya, India, Vietnam, and Kenya, the report noted.

Egypt's exports of building materials rose in the first four months of 2022 by about 36 percent to a record 2.558 billion dollars compared to 1.883 billion dollars in the same period last year.

Ten countries absorbed 65.5 percent of the exports of this sector, according to the monthly report of the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractory & Metallurgy Industries which was issued on Thursday.

The UAE came at the top of importers with its imports standing at 456 million dollars in the first four months of 2022.

Canada came in the second position followed by Italy, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, the US, Algeria, Spain and Libya.
