CAIRO – 23 June 2022: The State-owned EgyptAir will start its air bridge to transport the Egyptian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia on Friday for the 2022 Hajj season, announced the company in a statement on Thursday.
The first batch of pilgrims will depart on eight flights from the Cairo International Airport; six flights to Madinah and two flights to Jeddah, the company added.
One of the two flights heading for Jeddah will transport pilgrims from Bamako, the statement continued.
The Cairo International Airport authorities are taking all measures to ensure the safety of travelers and arrivals, by reducing overcrowding, the statement stressed.
