CAIRO – 14 June 2022: Egyptian wrestler Ashraf Mahrous, known as Kabonga, is aiming to register a new record of pulling heavy vehicles, by a new challenge on Tuesday, where he plans to pull 6 metro vehicles.
Mahrous will take part in the challenge inside a workshop in Shubra district, Cairo, where he will pull six metro vehicles of the second metro line, weighing approximately 220 tons
Mahrous, of Ismailia governorate, was officially listed on the Guinness World Records for Heavies Road vehicle, when he pulled with his teeth a truck 15 tons on June 13th, breaking the previous record by an Indian who pulled 13 tons only.
He celebrated his achievement by posting a picture of the official record certificate on his Facebook account, along with photos of his attempts to pull the truck.
Mahrous discovered his talent in primary school, when he broke his classmate’s leg twice by mistake. He seeks to compete for the title of the strongest man in the world in the Guinness Record, by pulling a plane after he managed to pull two trucks with his teeth and more than a car with his finger.
He previously pulled a metro vehicle using his arms at a workshop in Shubra district, Cairo, to break the Malaysian record of 204 tons in 2021.
In a press statement to Veto, Mahrous said that he had submitted a request to the metro company and he's just waiting for approval to pull the metro using his physical and arm strength. He also confirmed that he met with the spokesman for the metro company to discuss his request and the possibility of implementation.
