The president added that Egypt is adamant to seal a legally binding agreement on the rules of filling and operation of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), in a way that maintains the rights of the current and future generations in the Nile River, which is the main source of water for Egypt.

President Sisi asked Minister Mulamula to deliver his greetings to Tanzanian President Samia Hassan, expressing appreciation for the outstanding historic ties between both countries. The president equally lauded the growth of bilateral relations over the past years, and the activation of joint cooperation in various fields.

On her side, Minister Mulamula delivered the greetings of the Tanzanian president, who valued the deep relations with Egypt, and stressed keenness on pushing cooperation further.

The message underscored the desire to learn from the Egyptian experience in implementing mega projects, and displayed the updates of the construction of Julius Nyerere Dam on the Rufiji River in Tanzania by Egypt.
