Interior Minister forms team to arrest Giza checkpoint attackers

CAIRO - 14 July 2017: Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar on Friday issued directives forming a massive search team to identify the perpetrators of the terrorist attack that took place earlier in the day in Giza and left five policemen dead, said a security source.

The source, in statements to MENA, added that the team includes experts from the public security and national security departments.

Several mobile and fixed security checkpoints were deployed at the scene of the attack to arrest the perpetrators, the source added.

Five policemen were killed earlier in the day when unidentified gunmen opened fire against them at a checkpoint in al Badrasheen area.
