PM directs govt to broaden discussions about real estate development bill

CAIRO – 24 May 2022: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli emphasized the importance of steps being taken to regulate the real estate development sector, which is linked to construction and contributes to providing many job opportunities and propelling the growth of many sectors.

The prime minister made the remarks during a meeting on Tuesday with Minister of Justice Omar Marwan and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el Gazzar to probe measures to regulate the real estate development sector in Egypt.

Madbouli directed the two ministers to broaden discussions with real estate developers in a way that contributes to creating consensus on a proposed real estate development bill.

The meeting touched on the final draft of the bill that has been compiled after a series of meetings and discussions with real estate developers.
