CAIRO – 15 May 2022: Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram told Al Watan newspaper Sunday that the sixth edition of "Egypt Can" conference themed "By Industry" will focus on the future of artificial intelligence (AI), digitalization, and programming.
The minister added the conference will also discuss ways of deepening the local component of the technology industry, and others to promote the industries of the future, particularly liquid-hydrogen-powered textile manufacturing and smart industrial cities.
In addition, discussions will cover the industry of environment-friendly automotives and means of transport, supporting the production of high-quality liquid hydrogen, and the sector of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
With regard to pharmaceuticals, a panel discussion will be dedicated to presenting opportunities of cultivating medicinal plants that can be part of the drug production.
The minister noted that the conference - to be held on May 30-31 - will consist of talks on securing funding to industrial enterprises, and reinforcing cooperation between Egypt and fellow African states in the industrial sector.
