CAIRO - 14 May 2022: Egypt's Law of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development included a package of incentives and facilitations to encourage young people to own small projects and support small industries. Below we review the incentives to start operating.
According to the law:
The agency may establish in its offices and branches or in the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones or its branches in the governorates units called “service provision units for medium, small and micro enterprises” to issue approvals, permits, operating licenses, cards, and registration procedures imposed by legislation, and necessary for projects to carry out their activities.
These units may provide any other services necessary for the projects subject to the provisions of this law in agreement with the competent authorities in accordance with the legislation in force, in the manner indicated in Articles (40 and 41) of this law.
Article (40):
The units established in accordance with the provision of Article (39) of this law shall include representatives of the competent authorities in accordance with the regulating laws and representatives of the public utility companies related to the commencement of project activity. units.
As an exception to the provisions of any other law, representatives of the competent authorities and public utility companies, under the provisions of this law, shall have the authority to issue approvals, permits and licenses necessary for projects to carry out their activities, in accordance with the technical requirements stipulated in the laws regulating them, as well as all the powers assigned to the competent authority in this regard, all without Refer to their employers.
The executive regulation of this law specifies the ministers or heads of agencies and competent public utility companies from whom a decision is issued to assign authorized representatives in accordance with the provisions of this article.
