Egypt's Ministry of Environment celebrates Earth Day

 

CAIRO – 22 April 2022: Egypt’s Ministry of Environment celebrates the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day via organizing awareness campaigns at a number of nature reserves, which falls on April 22.

 

The world is celebrating Earth Day this year under the theme “Invest in Our Plant” as a way to accelerate the adaptation of solutions to climate change impacts. This year's celebrations aim at raising public awareness among people of their responsibility for protecting the environment.

 

“The Earth Day 2022 theme is focused on engaging the more than 1 billion people, governments, institutions, and businesses who participate in Earth Day to recognize our collective responsibility and to help accelerate the transition to an equitable, prosperous green economy for all,” the official website of the Earth Day says.

 

The goal of celebrating Earth Day is to overcome the obstacles associated with fossil fuel economy.
