CAIRO – 19 April 2022: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government on Tuesday to expand the application of the Government Excellence Award to cover more sectors and institutions for its motivational effect on excellence, performance development, and dissemination of the culture of innovation.
Sisi's directives came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala El Said, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Said, during the meeting, pointed to Egypt's economic performance during the first and second quarters of the current fiscal year, expecting that the Egyptian economy would positively grow by 6% by the end of this year, overcoming international institutions' predictions.
The meeting reviewed the Planning Ministry's efforts to upgrade Egypt Vision 2030 and efforts exerted to develop the government service by promoting digital transformation efforts. In this regard, the president ordered the the government to enhance the system of mobile service centers to offer easier services for the citizens.
The president was also briefed on the capacity-building programs, organized by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, instructing that these programs should be implemented nationwide.
