CAIRO – 13 April 2022: A delegation from the ministry of tourism, visited on Wednesday the injured in a tourist bus collision in Aswan Governorate near Aswan/ Aswan Road in a hospital in the to follow up and check on their health condition.
Head of the Central Administration for Tourist Companies affiliated with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Samia Sami, explained that the injured health is getting better and that they suffer from minor injuries, pointing out that there are some cases that have fully recovered and left the hospital safely.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi extended his condolences to the families of the victims of an accident involving French and Belgian tourists on a highway in Aswan, southern Egypt Wednesday, saying Egypt will give the victims and their families all kinds of support.
“I extend my sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, praying to God almighty to bless the victims with his mercy and to inspire their families and relatives with patience and solace,” he said in a Facebook statement.
“I am closely following up on the accident of a tourist bus colliding with a truck in Aswan Governorate and instructed the concerned authorities to take all the needed measures, provide all aspects of medical attention and treatment for the victims of the tragic accident, and follow up on their condition,” he added.
Sisi also said he ordered that all kinds of support be given to the families of the victims. Ten people died in the accident, where a pickup truck collided with a tourist bus. The victims include one Belgian and four French tourists and five Egyptians.
