Egypt plans to collaborate with American expertise in research pertinent to programming, other technology applications

CAIRO – 8 April 2022: Egypt plans to collaborate with American expertise in research pertinent to programming and certain technology applications through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Armed Forces National Service Projects Organization.

                                                                                                                    

The matter was discussed Thursday in a meeting comprising President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, the organization's general manager Walid Abou El Magd, and Chairman of the National Company for Constructions Karam Salem.

 

Talks covered ongoing projects in the sectors of healthcare, housing, irrigation, and electricity, according to the presidency's press statement. The officials equally presented progress on land reclamation within the second phase of Toshki lying in the southern part of the New Valley governorate.  

 

Abou El Magd pointed out that the organization is implementing 227 projects worth LE100 billion ($5.5 billion) in 2022. In that context, the president instructed reinforcing cooperation between the Armed Forces National Service Projects Organization and governmental bodies in all vital sectors in a way that enhances revenues, and efficiency of the use of resources.

 

Further, the chief of state instructed that the organization helps with creating diverse agricultural and industrial communities as well as new employment opportunities.
