A tour in Aswan after 2022 Visual Identity project launch
CAIRO - 30 March 2022: The projects under the Presidential developmental initiative "Haya Karima" are in full swing in the villages of Aswan city, South of Egypt to guarantee a dignified life for citizens there.
Field follow-up of all the work is being implemented, and harnessing all the necessary capabilities to achieve the goals required of the initiative's work, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership of the state, to quickly finalize the work with high quality.
There is permanent coordination and continuous communication with all concerned parties
These projects will contribute to bringing about a radical change in the lifestyle within the targeted villages.
In Edfu Center, north of Aswan Governorate, work is underway to complete projects to extend and strengthen drinking water lines and other projects in all sectors.
In the El-Qanan Village Council, the government services complex is being completed and the Heikal Youth Center building is being constructed. Work is also underway in the Agricultural Services Complex building, and the post offices in the local unit are being developed.
Work is also underway to complete 5 bridges located on Sahel Sebaia Canal, Janabiya Canal Sebaia Canal, Siala Sebaia Canal and Hajer Sebaia Canal.
Extension and strengthening of the drinking water network in the village of El-Qunan with a length of 23 km has been implemented to deliver potable water to water-deprived areas in the entire villages and hamlets of El-Qunan.
In the Nasr Al Nuba Center, the company executing the electrical works for Naga Jubran, which is deprived of electricity, and then to the rest of the villages of the unit to complete the work of replacement and renewal.
In the Kom Ombo center, work is underway on the sewage project in the village of Al-Atmour Qibli, and the sanitation project is being implemented in the village of Sabaa Qibli and the rest of the 9 villages of the Kom Ombo center and in the village of Fares; it serves about 14 thousand people.
On the other hand, Aswan Governorate is preparing for the launch of the medical convoy at the Hepatitis Viruses Building in Al-Radisiya from Thursday, March 31, until Friday, April 1.
The convoy, which will be organized under the slogan "Safety of your heart", will be headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Healthy Hearts and the first consultant of the heart and blood vessels, and with the participation of a number of consultants for the early detection of diseases and congenital heart defects for newborn children from the age of 5 to 15 years, in addition to the examination of pregnant women. Another medical convoy was organized in partnership with the Society for the Development of Society in the city of Radiyah, which included many medical specialties, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, internal medicine, children, dermatology, and nose and ear.
The Directorate of Health Affairs in Aswan also organized a medical convoy for a free examination in the villages of Salmon and Al-Amal in Kom Ombo within the health axis of the presidential initiative, a decent life.
About Haya Karima
“Haya Karima” is a national project to develop the Egyptian countryside. It started as an initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on 2 January, 2019.
It was then transformed into a national project early in 2021 with the aim of improving the living conditions and the quality of life for the neediest categories of the rural society nationwide and contributing to advancing the level of daily services provided to citizens.
The “Haya Karima” project seeks to unify the efforts of all the state’s institutions in cooperation with the civil society, the private sector companies and the development partners inside and outside Egypt in the sustainable development field
The project also aims, through eliminating multi-dimensional poverty, to alleviate the burden shouldered by the citizens, especially the neediest families in the targeted villages and centers totaling 4,658 villages with total investments estimated at LE 700 billion.
This contributes to improving the life of more than half of the Egyptian population through setting an integrated developmental roadmap which its goals and axes are consistent with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
This comes through securing a comprehensive array of services and that include decent housing, health, education, culture, infrastructure, clean environment and productive communities to ensure sustainable development in the targeted villages and centers.
