Egyptian pharmaceutical companies not affected by Russia-Ukraine war

CAIRO – 28 March 2022: Egyptian pharmaceutical companies have not been affected yet by the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, said Presidential Adviser for Health and Preventive Affairs Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din.

 

“The companies always have strategic reserves of pharmaceutical materials and we have a sufficient supply for local production,” he added in comments to Hadith Al Kahira on Monday. He said that there are 152 pharmaceutical companies working in Egypt.

 

He noted that Egypt prevents exporting medicine if the country suffers a shortage in the local market.
