CAIRO - 20 March 2022: The Egyptian ambassador to Malawi delivered a shipment of aid to help alleviate the impact of Hurricane Ana on Sunday.

 

Ambassador Mohamed Al-Sherif handed over the shipment of drugs and medical equipment to the Malawian Minister of Health Khumbizi Chiponda in the capital of Lilongwe and a group of officials. 

 

Sherif delivered a speech at Kamuzu Airport that emphasized the Egyptian-Malawian relations. 

 

For her part, Chiponda said Egypt is one of the first countries that have dispatched aid to Malawi after the hurricane. 

 

She also applauded medical training provided by Egypt to Malawian medical cadres as part of the cooperation between the two African nations.
