CAIRO – 19 March 2022: Commander of the Ugandan Land Forces Muhozi Kainerugaba hailed the efforts made by Egypt and its armed forces to support security and stability efforts on the African continent.
Kainerugaba, who is in a visit to Egypt, met on Saturday with Egypt’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Osama Askar, during which they discussed military cooperation, the Egyptian Army said in a statement.
Kainerugaba stressed Uganada’s keenness to support new horizons for military cooperation with Egypt during the next stage.
The meeting dealt with a number of issues of common interest in the fields of military cooperation and the exchange of experiences between the armed forces of both countries to achieve the common interests of both sides.
Askar stressed Egypt's pride in the historical relations and ties with Uganda and keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to enhance the bonds of cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting was attended by a number of leaders of the armed forces from both sides.
