Egyptian Naval Force rescues crew of capsized cargo ship

CAIRO – 14 March 2022: The Egyptian Naval Force rescued the crew of a cargo ship that capsized near the shores of Alexandria, the spokesperson of the Egyptian Armed Forces announced Monday.

The vessel named "AYLA" was on its way to the Port of Alexandria from Libya's Tripoli Port when the accident occurred with 10 crew members on board. Nine of those are Syrian, while one is Indian.

The rescue mission was assumed by the ship called "Al Arish," and medical care was provided.
