CAIRO – 12 March 2022: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects Sunday to witness a decrease in temperatures, so that cold weather will prevail during the day on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northwestern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, the northeastern coasts and central Sinai.
EMA says the weather will be warm over southern Sinai and the mountain ranges of the Red Sea, while tending to be cold in the north of Upper Egypt, warm in the south of Upper Egypt, very cold at night in all parts.
Light rain also is expected on the northwestern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, associated with wind activity in several separate areas in northern and southern Upper Egypt, southern Sinai and the Red Sea mountain ranges.
As for the temperatures on Sunday:
Cairo records highs of 17 degrees and lows of 08 degrees
Alexandria records highs of 15 degrees and lows of 09 degrees
Matrouh records highs of 14 degrees and lows of 09 degrees
Sohag records highs of 19 degrees and lows of 10 degrees
Qena records highs of 22 degrees and lows of 10 degrees
Aswan records highs of 25 degrees and lows of 11 degrees
Saint Catherine records highs of 12 degrees and lows of 03 degrees
