WARSAW, March 6 (MENA) - A total of 922,400 refugees have already crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, Poland’s Border Guard has reported.

On Saturday alone, border guards cleared a record number of 129,000 people fleeing Ukraine, the Border Guard tweeted on Sunday morning, adding that, by 7:00 a.m. on Sunday alone, their number had already reached 39,800, euronews reported.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs data, most of the people who have entered Poland so far are Ukrainian citizens, but there are also Poles, as well as citizens of Uzbekistan, Belarus, India, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the USA and Russia.

All persons admitted to Poland are verified by the Border Guard, and if they have no documents, or in case of any other problems, Border Guard officers apply appropriate checking procedures, the interior ministry added.
