US Deputy Secretary of State to visit Egypt March 10-11

CAIRO - 4 March 2022: US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman will travel to Egypt on March 10-11 in a regional tour, said the US Department of State in a statement on Friday. 

 

Sherman’s tour will start on March 4 in Turkey’s Istanbul and Ankara, then to Madrid, Spain; Morocco‘s Rabat and Casablanca,  Algeria; and finally Cairo. 

 

During her visit to Cairo, Sherman will meet with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and other senior Egyptian officials. 

 

The Deputy will also meet with the head of the National Council of Human Rights Moushira Khattab, host a discussion with Egyptian human rights advocates, and meet with Egyptian youth, the statement said.
