US should take back its nuclear arms from Europe - Lavrov

MOSCOW, March 1 (MENA) - It is unacceptable for the US' nuclear weapons to be located in European countries, TeleTrader quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as saying on Tuesday.

It is "high time" to return US arms to where they belong, Lavrov said in a video address played at a conference in Geneva.

Russia's top diplomat also said that Moscow is ready to cooperate with Washington on a new stability strategy, and stressed that the country's armed forces will do what is necessary to ensure that Ukraine is a nuclear-arms-free zone.
