US, UK probe further sanctions on Russia

WASHINGTON, Feb 26 (MENA) - US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman spoke on Saturday with UK Minister of State for Europe and North America James Cleverly.

They discussed the continued rollout of swift, coordinated, and severe sanctions on the Russian Federation following the premeditated, unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine.

Sherman expressed appreciation for the close and ongoing coordination between the United States and the United Kingdom to confront Russia’s aggression.

Both sides expressed unwavering support for Ukraine and its people and a strong commitment to transatlantic unity and European security.
