CAIRO – 24 February 2022: The Ukrainian Embassy in Egypt expressed appreciation to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for supporting the Ukrainian tourists in Egypt amid Russian large-scale military attack on eastern Ukraine.
The embassy appealed to the Ministry of Immigration to provide support and assistance to Ukrainian tourists who are currently in Egypt.
The Egyptian Embassy in Kiev called on Egyptian nationals residing not to leave their homes as the Russian troops launched strikes on Ukraine.
The Egyptian embassy advised nationals in Kiev to keep identification documents and to follow instructions issued by the Ukrainian authorities until the situation stabilizes.
The Egyptian embassy said it is following round the clock the conditions of the Egyptian community residing in Ukraine, urging expats to follow the instructions that the embassy gives.

Egypt is following with deep concern the successive developments in connection with the situation in Ukraine, a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry read.
“Egypt stresses the importance of giving priority to dialogue and diplomatic solutions as well as endeavors that would speed up the political settlement of the crisis in a manner that preserves international security and stability,” the statement said.
The ministry also affirmed the need to ensure that the situation does not escalate or deteriorate and to avoid aggravating humanitarian and economic conditions.
